Oeam Folk Village
충남 아산시 송악면 외암민속길 5
Oeam folk village is a three part Hanok village located in Osan. It is one of the few Hanok villages I've been to that is pet friendly. It is also wheelchair and stroller friendly. Two of the parts you need to pay to enter. The fee is only a couple thousand won per person though.

Oeam has three parts. The first two parts are the non lived in and residential locations. The nonresidential portion has about three courtyards showcasing what life was like in Joseon times. The residential portion is located above the nonresidential and has about 30 residences where people actually live. Guests are free to walk the streets and take pictures of the Hanok style homes but take care not to pry on their private lives.
Outside the nonresidential part is the burial site of Oeam's namesake. Oeam was the pen name of a renowned scholar to the Emporer.

Above the Hanok village is a scenic tiered rice paddy that guests can walk through and enjoy.
Above the rice paddy is the Yongwhasa temple grounds. The temple offers a temple stay program where visitors can live the life of a Buddhist monk for a day.

The third part of the folk village is a commercial area with free entry. This area has restaurants, shops, and cafes. It is located further down the road from the first two sites.
In between both the paid and unpaid locations are a couple other restaurants. I decided to stop at one of these restaurants for a hefty meal for three. In my defense I didn't know it was a family sized meal when I ordered it, but I managed to enjoy every bite.

The hours are listed as 9 am to 6 pm but because the residential area is always open, guests are free to continue exploring well after the village closes.
Oeam is one of the most peaceful and enjoyable folk villages I have visited around Korea.
