Geumgang Singwan Park

Geumgang park is located in Gongju and is mostly geared to being a fall park. The rest of the year it is primarily a sports park with jogging trails and sports fields. But in the fall, the cosmos flower fields and Muhly grass come in.
Once a year, the park is transformed into one of the most eventful places in the area. Many lanterns and lights are set up for the Baekje culture festival at the beginning of each October. There is food, music, and live shows. The crowning event though in my opinion is the lighting of the boats along the river. This is the single greatest view of the whole event.
This public park is rare in that it is not pet friendly. Especially during the festival. Outside of the festival I have seen people with their pets no problem.
